Our Three Goals

Packaging Unlimited considers the safety of its employees their top priority. Through education, training, and employee involvement among all levels of our company, we continue to improve our operations and our safety performance. Safety is one of our key performance indicators; and through our continuous improvement efforts, we have improved our safety record over the years and we plan to continue this record as we strive to maintain a safe working environment, improve our efficiencies, and exceed our customer's expectations.

At Packaging Unlimited, LLC, we take pride in being a fair, ethical, and responsible company. We conduct business in a manner that complies with laws and regulations, and have adopted the Electronic Industry Citizen Coalition (EICC) code of conduct.

Because of violence and human rights violations in the mining of certain minerals in Central Africa (the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and nine adjoining countries: Republic of Congo, Central Africa Republic, South Sudan, Zambia, Angola, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda), these minerals-tin, tungsten, tantalum and gold-are now referred to as “conflict minerals.” Armed groups fight for control of mines in this region and use forced labor to mine and sell the minerals, which in turn funds ongoing violence.

In August 2012, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) adopted rules to implement reporting and disclosure requirements related to “conflict minerals”. PUL does not directly source any of these “conflict minerals” for use in our products and therefore are not subject to the SEC Conflict Minerals disclosure requirement rule.

We are committed to the responsible sourcing of materials from our suppliers-requiring them to be conflict-free in regards to these designated minerals. We will review supplier information, and exercise due diligence measures to achieve this. Suppliers who source 3TG metals from smelters, must also implement due diligence requiring the smelters to have been validated by an independent third party audit. This information will be collected from our suppliers to conform to the IPC-1755 Conflict Minerals Data Exchange Standard.

As a leader in the packaging industry, we are committed to providing premium quality products that ensure profitable returns to our clients. We have constituted a Quality Management System, which is followed throughout the organization at each and every stage so that the quality standards can be successfully met.

Stringent quality control procedures insure that products manufactured, procured, and assembled meet or exceed our customer's expectations.

Quality is consistent with each project because it is embedded into our teams process. From the first communication with the customer to the self-measurement phase, we are Quality!

Some key areas represented in our Quality systems are:

  • ISO 9001:2008 Certified, FDA Registered and Licensed, AIB Certified
  • Approved Specifications / Assembly Instructions Generated for Each Project
  • Job-Specific Check Sheets
  • Incoming Inspections
  • Prototypes / 1st Inspection Documentation
  • Operator / Assembly Training
  • Lot / Batch Tracking
  • Barcodes Scanned & Verified by ANSI & Traditional Standards

Packaging Unlimited has adopted a sustainability philosophy focused on re-thinking the packaging development process. By educating ourselves on green living and staying on top of the resources available, we continue to design packaging solutions for our customers that are environmentally-friendly, offer recovery options, and produce little or no waste. Our experts weigh the importance of shelf impact required by our customers and the environmental impact determined through the materials utilized to produce the most balanced, sustainable option.

Listed below are some of the sustainability efforts incorporated into our business operation:

  • Recycling all corrugated scrap
  • Replacing lights throughout the plant to incorporate energy-saving technology and products
  • Manufacturing recylable corrugated pallets and runners
  • Using recycled pallets whenever possible
  • Developing packaging designs to minimize material usage and maximize labor efficiencies
  • Utilizing Continual Improvement programs that reduce waste material produced during the manufacturing process

We continue to use eco-friendly products and suppliers, energy-efficient devices, and promote green lifestyles throughout our company.
